I am really very happy to be a badaga family, we should be very careful in our culture it is the most important to every body in the badaga family. Here I have to say i belong to gowda family of Kerehada (Ketty)village i know how our culture works, to be heartily I really like the hospitality of our family so please keep it up and it should to non stoppable for ever.

I wish to wholeheartedly appreciate the tremendous effort put in to maintain this website with so much of information on our community. It is path breaking. You mention in these pages that May 15 is celebrated as Badaga Day in honour of Ari Gowder. I was wondering on what criteria was May 15th selected. Ari Gowda was born on Dec 4 and passed away on June 27. Is there any other reason for selecting the 15th of May?

JP adds : Thanks for your kind words. Frankly, I do not know how May 15th was chosen as Badaga Day. As far as Ari Gowder's name being associated, I was informed that BADAGA DAY was not known as Ari Gowder day right from the beginning. It was a decision taken much later.
